Noe som beskriver deg som person og hva du brenner for. Gjør research på det aktuelle selskapet slik at du treffer godt med det du skriver. Se også på nettsiden på hvordan de skriver. Bruker de en formell tone? Eller et mer personlig og muntlig språk? Din søknad bør speile dette for å overbevise om at du passer inn i selskapets kultur. Tenk på at målsetningen med søknaden er å skaffe deg et intervju. Vekk interesse slik at de ønsker å ta en prat med deg.

- Unngå klisjeer, og opplisting av superlativer og adjektiver. Presenter heller konkrete eksempler på hvordan du møter arbeidsgivers krav.
- Vær nøye med å unngå skrivefeil og grammatiske blemmer.
- Unngå masseproduserte og standardiserte søknader. Vær nøye med å skreddersy søknadsteksten til den aktuelle utlysningen. Start med en god analyse av utlysningen og sørg for at du forstår rollen og arbeidsgivers behov, og svar på dette i teksten din.
